What size drill bit did you use?
Check your fans first to see if they turn freely if not its your fan
This is a quality video. The big names have a lot to learn from your direct approach to showing exactly what the title says.
Great video thank you! I had the same issue, dodge grand caravan, code p according to my scanner. The two radiator cooling fans were not turning. Checked a fuse, and it was ok. So i took off the front fascia like you showed, and drilled the rivet out for the fan control relay, bought a new one and installed it with a big bolt. Problem solved! Fans now come on. I cleared the check engine code with my scanner and the light stays off.
Got to mine via the front fascia, screws. Easy. Check engine, but i don t have a scanner to reset. Good point to check the fuse i did not. Used the same dorman kit. Thanks for posting.
Hi again. I went back with my scanner, reset it thought i did it like times before, but must have missed something and it came off! Yay! Praise god! I save my family in shop part fees. The part for from amazon was worth it, and yes, it was exactly the same brand as yours. Thanks again.
I had the same problem. The engine light did not go off after i replaced the module. I attempted to reset it by the scanner, but it still came up. What am i doing wrong?
Does the engine light automatically go off after you replaced the module?
Excellent video! Fyi i found the a fuse burned out. Knowing these only blow for a reason, i checked both fans manually, using my hands. The drivers side fan was fine. The passenger side fan was seized up tight. I m going to replace it tomorrow. If the check engine light goes out after clearing the code, i don t think i ll need to change the fan relay, as shown in this video.
A great tutorial video, just what i needed. Thank you!
Thanks so much, very helpful.
